Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, we come to your home for all tutoring sessions. We serve all areas of Staten Island.
Sessions may run anywhere from 1-3 hours. We work with each parent to find the best fit for their child’s schedule and needs. Younger students (grades 1-2) are generally not scheduled for longer than 1 hour, while the 2+ hour sessions are generally reserved for older students requiring more intensive support.
We recommend meeting twice a week. This establishes a positive and productive routine, which is good for students who need help staying on track. It also gives tutors and students the time to work through specific individual challenges, alongside support of the classroom curriculum.
We often work with families who have multiple children in need of tutoring. Parents who enroll more than one child for tutoring services will receive a sibling discount. However, we cannot guarantee that siblings will have the same tutor since our tutors are assigned based on student need, subject area expertise, and general availability.
If your child is sick or otherwise unable to meet with the tutor, we ask that you call us at least four hours in advance to cancel the session. Clients will not be charged for the canceled session.
After the first tutoring session, we send an invoice to your email address. As you continue to receive services, your child’s session hours will be deducted from your payment and we will send an updated invoice at least one week before your next payment is due. Log into your account to view and print your invoices and payment receipts or check your remaining package balance at any time.
To pay by credit or debit:
Click on the invoice link to view your current bill and payment link. Next, click the payment link that appears on the invoice, where you will be redirected to Paypal, and submit your credit or debit card information. You do not need to have a Paypal account to make a payment. All major credit cards are accepted.
To pay by check:
Click on the invoice to review your current charges. Once you review your invoice, simply mail a personal check or money order for the total amount due to 60 Bay Street, Suite 701, Staten Island, NY 10301. If you wish to receive invoices by mail, you must notify the Manager immediately following the first tutoring session.
If you are dissatisfied with the service you are receiving, our management team is always happy to discuss other options with you. Requests to switch tutors are processed on a case by case basis and may not always be accommodated due to tutor availability.

Your child will need three things – a pencil, a notebook, and a good attitude. If there are any specific school or homework assignments they are having trouble with, or a class test they would like to review, they must also bring along all appropriate materials so the tutor can help.
No. All worksheets, workbooks, and online resources are provided by Super STARS Academic Services free of charge.
What if my child has questions on a day you are not scheduled to meet? Are tutors available by phone or email?
Parents, students, and teachers always welcome to email the tutor and/or office, who will generally respond within 24 hrs. If it is an in-the-moment question related to schoolwork or an upcoming exam, we invite clients to send a text message to the tutor, who will generally reply by text or phone call within 2 hours.
