By working together to solve problems and explore strategies, students learn to appreciate the social aspect of learning while improving their performance. Students in small groups also tend to hold each other accountable for the work they are tasked with, increasing motivation for students who might otherwise have trouble taking on extra study time. Through guided discussion and shared goals, students become more engaged in their progress towards Common Core success.
